The Boating Industry Association of Western Australia (BIAWA) actively promotes and encourages entry into a marine career, we work closely with South West Metropolitan Tafe promoting marine apprenticeships.

Service Manager - Whittely WA

Location: Wangara, WA
Join the expanding Whittley team and work for Australia’s leading trailerable fiberglass boat builder, from the Group’s Perth dealership in Wangara.
Whittley Boats, established in 1953 by Jim Whittley, is the market leader and largest Australian producer of trailerable fiberglass boats. The Group owns its dealerships which offer both sales and service for the brand in Perth, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, and the Gold Coast.
As Service Manager at Whittley WA, you would be working on Simrad, Mackay, Whittley, Volvo Penta and Mercury products. The role involves service works on trailer boats, managing customers, and working alongside the Whittley team both in Perth and at the Group’s manufacturing base in Melbourne.
Requirements:
- Marine service qualification
- Hard working attitude
- Boat and car driver’s license
- Industry experience

Daily tasks:
- Book engine and boat service jobs
- Assist the Whittley factory with warranty works
- Conduct marine engine servicing
- Raise job cards and issue service invoices
- Ordering parts and controlling stock inventory
- Fit boat accessories to trailer boats
- Assist in the unpacking and set up of new boat packages
- Pre-delivery checks of new boats, motors, and trailers.
